Our Photography Equipment
|
|
We use Nikon gear exclusively. Recently we sold off N80 and F100 and switched to all-digital gear. Currently we have the following equipment:
Camera Bodies:
Other Accessories:
- Circular Polarizer for all the lenses.
- 81-A Warming Filter
- Nikon SB-800 Flash
- Scanner: Nikon Coolscan LS-4000 Slide scanner.
- Bogen 3221 Tripod with 3047 Tilt-pan head.
|
Lenses: All Nikon Lenses.
- 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G ED-IF AF-S DX Zoom Nikkor
- 24mm f/2.8D AF Nikkor
- 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5D AF Zoom-Nikkor
- 35-70mm f/2.8D AF Zoom-Nikkor
- 50mm f/1.8D AF Nikkor
- 80-200mm f/2.8D ED AF Zoom-Nikkor
- 200mm f/4D ED-IF AF Micro-Nikkor
- 300mm f/4D ED-IF AF-S Nikkor
Film: We almost always used Fuji Velvia 50. Sometimes we used Fuji Provia 100. Though Velvia 50 is the slowest of the slide films, it is widely used by professionals since it is a very fine grained film and quality is just amazing.
Digital Media: We use Lexar 80X Professional CompactFlash™ Cards with 12MB/s Minimum Sustained Write Speed.

Shopping for Camera Gear
|
|
We use B&H Photovideo online to buy all the photographic equipment. Based on our experience, local Camera stores tend to be expensive and don't carry many choices.
B&H Photovideo on the other hand are very reliable, carry a lot of choices at probably the best price.
For slide and negative archival etc, we use Light Impressions Direct online.
